Celebrating Christmas at the Waterfront
Wednesday, 12th December at 7pm at Telford College.

This year’s Christmas Event was held on 12th December at Telford College. Entitled Carols @ The Waterfront the programme re-told the Christmas story through carols and drama. Taking part were Granton Primary School Choir, Corstorphine Concert Band, drama students from Telford College and members of the local Granton churches. The evening was rounded off with teas, coffees and mince pies. The purpose of the evening was to provide an opportunity for the residents at the Waterfront to meet their neighbours and also people from the Granton churches.

Norman’s induction service was held in the church on 25th February. The service, which was lead by our old friend and neighbour from Inverleith Church Rev Hugh Davidson, was, although formal, upbeat and set the scene for Norman’s ministry with us.

Around 150 people stayed behind after the service for sandwiches and cakes. Speeches followed with words of introduction from Paul Sales and Peter Neilson, and a warm welcome from Rev Ian Dickie on behalf of Granton Churches Together. Katy Macintosh presented Norman with a ‘Call’ from Kirk 4 Kids, and there were presentations to Marilynn, Ian and Douglas in recognition of their services to us during the vacancy.
